Let’s take a look at where our technology started in 2019, and what’s new for #NFTNYC2023.
NFT.NYC 2019
At the inaugural NFT.NYC 2019 we launched our first-ever NFT Swag Bag, engaging attendees with NFT giveaways from conference sponsors. Sponsors submitted their NFT designs via our NFT.Kred-powered Marketplace, which enabled us to easily mint these in bulk on the Stellar and Ethereum blockchains.
Following the success of NFT Swag Bag at NFT.NYC 2019, Coindesk enlisted NFT.Kred to recreate the NFT Swag experience for Consensus 2019, which were redeemable for physical merch, time with a speaker, CryptoKitties, Ledger Nano hardware wallets, and even a chance to win real gold.
This was the first time a major conference organizer chose to distribute NFT Swag on the blockchain, saving tons of plastic bags and paper brochures.

Peter Bordes, CoinDesk’s Managing Director of Global Events, said “The Consensus NFTs [provided] attendees with both added value and a direct connection with their favorite sponsors and speakers.“
NFT.NYC 2020
At NFT.NYC 2020, we introduced Speaker Profiles — allowing attendees to learn more about and connect with their favorite speakers, with links backed up on the Polygon blockchain. Each Speaker Profile contained a widget allowing attendees to ask speakers questions.
Members of the media previewed and highlighted all the wonderful happenings at #NFTNYC2020, including the “dreamy techie merch” used in part for the Speaker Profiles.
NFT.NYC 2021
NFT.NYC 2021 marked the introduction of Speaker Card NFTs — allowing attendees to collect NFTs forever commemorating their favorite talks and speakers. Speakers were able to add their Speaker Card NFTs to Linkedin to verifiably authenticate their participation in NFT.NYC 2021 as a speaker.

Speakers like @VjDeliria posted links to their Speaker Cards on Twitter to spread them around the internet. @amanda_devik went a step further and minted her own “Digital Calling Card” NFTs to give to people she met at #NFTNYC2021
NFT.NYC 2022
NFT.NYC 2022 exploded onto Times Square with The Diversity of NFTs Art Showcase. Artworks from over 200 incredible artists were displayed on 14 major Times Square billboards and a large-scale immersive projection in the Marriott Marquis Atrium. NFTs of each artwork were minted for the community to collect.
Amazing artists including @ayocandraw, @drawmama, @cedricfangeat, @James_suret, @Crazydoc96 and many more, who tweeted about their art being shown on Time Square billboards, and how great of an opportunity this was for them.
Andrea Bonaceto went on to sell his featured piece, AB INFINITE 1 at Christie’s. The buyer originally saw the piece while it was displayed on a Times Square billboard for NFT.NYC 2022 and said “I had to have it.”
NFT.London 2022
At our first-ever NFT.London 2022, registered attendees received a Commemorative NFT Ticket Stub featuring art from 1 of 17 UK-based artists including the critically acclaimed XCOPY.
Artists, attendees, and speakers alike were ecstatic to share their Commemorative NFT Ticket Stubs on social media, and will be sharing them with their grandchildren in the future!
NFT.London 2022 also marked the return of the Speaker Profiles following their introduction at NFT.NYC 2020. Attendees could navigate to a speaker’s profile from the event program to learn more about the speaker, connect on social media, and to collect their Speaker Card NFT.
Speakers are able to continuously use their Speaker Profiles as a single page to share social links and other important information, even after NFT.London 2022 had ended. Speaker Profiles are valuable tools for Speakers looking to connect with their communities. Many speakers, including Larry Dvoskin, shared their profiles with their communities.
NFT Ticketing for #NFTNYC2023
We are now proud to launch our next iteration of NFT Ticketing for #NFTNYC2023, where every registered attendee will automatically receive a Digital Twin NFT Ticket minted on IMX. Each ticket carries a secure QR-code that can be scanned to check in to the conference. This was built by NFT.Kred as a one-of-a-kind integration with Eventbrite, our primary ticketing partner.
These NFTs created another amazing opportunity to collaborate with the incredible artists from our global community. All #NFTNYC2023 Digital Twin NFT Tickets will feature unique works from the upcoming Community Artist Showcase.
Artworks on the Digital Twin NFT Tickets will update when attendees check into #NFTNYC2023 and will be viewable in the NFT.NYC app and wallets.
After NFT.NYC 2023, the Digital Twin NFT Tickets will serve as immutable, indestructible collectible ticket stubs to commemorate every attendee’s participation in the event and in the community.

The launch of our Digital Twin NFT Tickets marks not only a wonderful and welcome step forward for NFT.NYC, but also an exciting advancement in the NFT Ticketing technology space — NFT.Kred will be providing this solution for other events as well.
NFT.Kred is enabling event organizers who ticket through major web2 platforms like Eventbrite to add NFT ticketing to their offerings without changing their existing ticketing platform, sales or operations.

Connecting the Community
In addition to distributing NFT tickets to every registered attendee, we will be launching a new Community section in the #NFTNYC2023 app — built specifically for NFT.NYC attendees, artists, speakers, and sponsors.
Community is a CRM that allows brands to gain insight into and engage with their Community Members. This same tool allows Fans and Community Members to discover and connect with other people that share similar interests.
NFT Communities and Collections are often organized by the NFTs first, and the people holding and interacting with those NFTs fall by the wayside. We are reversing this and putting people and their interests at the focus of a brand’s or event’s Community with the goal of creating additional connections and engagement through NFTs.
Each attendee will be able to customize their profile in the Community to:
- Showcase their NFT collections
- Tell the Community about themselves
- Link to their projects, sites, and social media accounts
Attendees will be able to view the profiles and NFTs of other attendees including participating speakers, sponsors, and artists.
Each Speaker’s profile will include a link to claim their Speaker Card NFT from the NFT.NYC Marketplace.
Every attendee’s #NFTNYC2023 badge will be printed with a QR code linking to their profile. When an attendee scans another’s badge a connection will be made between the two attendees so they can learn more about each other and continue their conversations after the event.
We hope that these experiences will foster conversations and engagement within the community before, during, and after NFT.NYC 2023.
